TYLER KAVOOKJIAN
Lead Vocals and Guitar
Having been raised by parents who were both musicians, Tyler took an interest in music at an early age and had started performing for large audiences by the age of 12. With musical influences such as Pink Floyd, Queen, Def Leppard, ZZ Top, and Judas Priest, his high vocal range and unique guitar playing technique stand out in his ability to impress listeners and create an unforgettable musical experience.
MIKE GIUSTI
Basses, Bass Keyboards, & Vocals
Mike Giusti embraced music at an early age, taking up classical training at the piano and vocal training. He then graduated to the stand-up bass and later the electric bass guitar, and he hasn't put them down since. Besides being an accomplished studio musician, Mike has played in various jazz, rock, fusion, and tribute bands, opening for bands like the Dixie Dregs, Faith No More, Dream Theater, and Allan Holdsworth. Mike allows the bass to stand out as its own eclectic instrument, combining contemporary chordal and upper register tonalities in order to accentuate a band's voice.
MICHAEL PHILLIPS
Guitars
Michael began playing guitar at age 10 and launched his first band, Decadence, in 1989. He later joined Deliverance, appearing with them during multiple periods between 1991 and 2015 and recording three albums, including releases with Frontline Music Group. In 2000, he formed Fasedown, signed to Rescue Records, and received an endorsement from Jackson Guitars, appearing in their 2000 and 2001 catalogs. After Fasedown disbanded in 2006, he founded Join the Dead in 2012 and also co-wrote Three with The Sacrificed, which was named Christian Metal Album of the Year by White Throne magazine. More recently, Michael has performed with various cover bands and currently plays guitar in the Rush tribute band, The Spirit of Rush, active since 2022.
DAVID LOCHER
KEYBOARDS
David Locher is an accomplished keyboardist with decades of experience and a rare gift for playing by ear, a skill he began honing in preschool. He entered the Central Valley music scene in the late '80s with BB and the V8s and later returned in the 2000s with Pamela Henri and the Big Boss Band. In 2012, he founded Outatime, an '80s/classic rock project, and went on to join Max Headroom, the region’s top '80s tribute band. David has also performed with Stealing Nicks and Foreigner Unauthorized, playing major venues across California and Nevada. Known for his precise sound replication and musical versatility, David remains a sought-after performer in the local music scene.
RAY HARBER
Drums & Percussion
Ray was born in Honolulu and raised in San Diego before settling in Visalia, California in 1979. At 14, he began drumming—starting with pots and pans—before getting his first drum set in 1980. Influenced early by radio hits from AC/DC and ELO, his passion for drumming intensified after discovering Rush’s Permanent Waves, becoming especially inspired by Neil Peart. He later drew influence from legends like John Bonham, Buddy Rich, and Vinnie Colaiuta.
By 1989, Ray began playing professionally and spent the next two decades performing with various cover and original bands across California, including the Christian rock trio Great Scott. In 2006, he launched a YouTube channel focused on Rush drum covers, gaining nearly 3,000 subscribers and over 1.7 million views.
In 2024, Ray joined Spirit of Rush, a tribute band dedicated to faithfully recreating Rush’s music. He’s excited to hit the stage with them in 2025 and beyond.
